COSTUME SUMMARY

Looking for a halloween themed design to make, I came across a witchy design of Princess Peach by Fonteart on Instagram. I loved how cute this design was, and I went straight to work and the majority of materials used I already had on hand. I started making the hat, belt, and smaller props and details first. The hat and belt are made of 5mm EVA foam, covered in scratch fabric. I purchased a hat pattern and tutorial by @kinpatsucosplay, so it saved me a lot of time not needing to draft my own. The next step was the pink skirt with a super high waist. I patterned the skirt with a zipper back closure, boning, and four slit openings. It is lined and features iron on applique and butt on details. I also created a white underskirt that has a wide horsehair hem, tacked in place, to give it extra bounce. Then I created the blouse out of stretch knit and matching pink satin for the sleeves. The skirt has a keyhole button closure in the back, ruffled front, neck bow, and eyelet collar. To finish off the look I crested a glitter potion bottle, glittered my shoes, and decorated a witches broom with some pink ribbon and leftover appliques.

I'm so happy with how it turned out! It was such a cute look to wear for halloween, and it was lucky that we took photos in the cutest little cottage-esque town!
