Kaye Cosplay is an award-winning cosplayer and costuming professional for Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. Since beginning her cosplay journey in 2004, she has won numerous cosplay competition titles including representing the United States for the International Cosplay League in 2017. Many who follow her work have come to know Kaye for her craftsmanship, skill, technicality, and precision in sewing. As a plus-sized woman, Kaye Cosplay confidently showcases that anyBODY can cosplay the characters that they love.
Her approach to cosplay is all about inclusivity, positivity, and acceptance. She advocates for the underdog and always strives to encourage those who are new to the hobby to keep learning and growing. As a convention and cosplay guest, Kaye Cosplay excels as a judge for costuming competitions and runway shows. Her experience in theater and at Disney has given her a knowledgeable and critical eye for noticing fine and intricate details on costumes, as well as accuracy to source materials, construction, and proper fit on the models. As a seasoned cosplayer with 15 years of experience, Kaye Cosplay is still growing, learning, and sharing her craftsmanship and cosplay journey with all of her fans and followers.

BEHIND THE PASSION
Sewing and costume making began in Sammi's elementary years while learning alongside her mother. She created dance recital costumes and Halloween costumes all while learning and developing a great love for sewing. When Sammi was in her preteens, she found cosplay and conventions to be an exciting way to create even more costumes- a hobby that grew and grew until she eventually started competing in craftsmanship competitions. In her early adulthood she started receiving invitations to attend conventions as an industry guest to judge costume making contests, and was eventually hired to organize and direct events within convention cosplay departments.
Today Sammi is a proud Cast Member for Walt Disney World's Creative Costuming department where she is able to apply her growing experience as a cosplayer to the development and preservation of "Disney Magic" for all the world to enjoy.
As a prominent member of the Florida cosplay community, Sammi has nine years of experience as an industry guest where she is regularly hired by convention and entertainment organizations to judge and/or host costume construction competitions. In addition to appearing as a cosplay guest, Sammi also has experience in facilitating convention events including contests, presentations, and performances. Balancing budgets, scheduling, designing costumed characters, and producing specialty acts are all examples of experience that Sammi has as both a cosplayer and entertainer.
