I created this costume, designed by @hannah_alexander_artwork , in about a month’s time and although it was a speedy build, there are so many little details throughout. I used a lot of beads, rhinestones, and applique tuhat I already had on hand, and supplemented them with some starfish and seashell pieces that were painted with a purple base and iridescent topcoat. The bodice is a black corset (made of the same fabric from my Designer Ursula costume) with hand-cut tentacles all around my chest and shoulders and the glittering embellishments along the front and back. I especially love the ombre gathered piece across my hips! The bodice was finished with these really beautiful draped pieces on the sleeves, sprinkled with pink rhinestones. 

The skirt was rather simple; a two-layered double circle skirt made with custom printed fabric from spoonflower with matching pink rhinestones.

Finally are the accessories, including the tights! They are lilac tights from @welovecolors with more hand-made tentacle applique glued on with some black rhinestones for dimension. I think one of my favorite pieces is my crown. I had a lot of fun creating the spikes out of gold glittered canvas and decorating with purple florals, rhinestones, and pearls. I also decorated a pair of black pumps with matching applique and rhinestones, although I only wore them for a few photos before taking them off while in the sand
